Bruno
In the story The Boy in the Striped pajamas sets during a time of the war. Based around the Aushwitz camp Bruno is forced to move away from his home town to the Nazi camp, this is dramatic irony because we see that it is a Nazi camp but Bruno sees it as a new world . Hes quite innocent in the fact that all he wants to do is play and find new friends. Bruno being the innocent young boy is just interested in exploring the new world but he cant because he has some new limitations. He decides to go with his instinct and go beyond the out of bounds area. He comes across a fence with another young boy on the other side. This is major dramatic irony because we know that the people on the other side of the fence are Adolf followers but Bruno just sees a new friend. Through out the book we see that Bruno and Shmeul friendship strengthens but as we read more we quickly figure out that its not looking good for Shmeul. When Bruno promices Shmuel that they will find his father Bruno blatently decides to shred all his clothing and put some stirped pajamas on. This is definetly a foolish choice only made by a child, but it seems like the right thing to do because he has very immature thinking.
